Day 1  Vientiane:
Arrive in Vientiane and transfer to hotel. City tour includes Wat Si Saket with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, Wat Prakeo (the original home of the Emerald Buddha) now in Bangkok, Wat Simuang, That Luang, Patousai Monument, and the central market. Overnight Vientiane

Day 2  Luang Prabang : Transfer to the airport for a morning flight to the mountain kingdom of Luang Prabang. This former royal capital has retained its small-town charm offering a glimpse into an unchanged way of life. Visit the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen, Wat Visun and climb to the summit of Mt. Phousi for a stunning panorama of the town and the Mekong River. Overnight Luang Prabang (B) Day 3  Luang Prabang : Morning departure by boat for a cruise along the Mekong River to Pak Ou Caves which house more than a thousand Buddha statues. Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon with stops at villages known for their hand weaving and rice wine distillation.. Overnight Luang Prabang (B,L) Day 4  Vientiane: Visit the local market before transferring to the airport for a late morning flight to Vientiane. Transfer to the hotel. This afternoon is free to explore the city. Overnight Vientiane (B) Day 5  Departure Day: Depart for home or begin another “Asian Passage.” (B)
