Day 1 Vientiane:
Arrive in Vientiane and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour includes a visit to Wat Si Saket, with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, Wat Prakeo, Wat Simuang, the That Luang Monument and Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe, the Anousavari Monument. Overnight Vientiane (L,D)
Day 2 Phonsavanh:
Transfer to the airport for flight to Xieng Khoang, gateway to the mysterious Plain of Jars, a plateau 30 miles wide. The 2,000 year-old jars range in the size from 3 feet to 8 feet in height, and some thought they were used as funeral urns. Stop on to visit different hill tribe villages. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Vientiane:
Morning visit to a colorful local market before transferring to the airport for the return flight to Vientiane. Transfer to hotel on arrival and the remainder of the day is free for more exploration. Overnight Vientiane (B)
Day 4 Departure Day:
Depart for home or begin another “Asian Passage.” (B)
