Day 1  14March (Wed):
Depart on Singapore Airlines from New York/JFK. (If departing from Los Angeles you will leave on 13March). Approximate cost of roundtrip airline ticket on Singapore Airlnes is $1,050 plus taxes approximately $250 and is subject to change, including additional fuel surcharges, until ticketed.

Day 3  16March (Fri) Ho Chi Minh City:
Arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)/Saigon. After transferring to our hotel, we begin our city tour including a visit to the Reunification Hall (former Presidential Palace); grounds of the former US Embassy compound, now the site of the U.S. Consulate; Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office; and the War Relics Museum. Day 4  17March (Sat) Cu Chi, Tay Ninh, Nui Ba Den:
Early morning excursion as we travel to Nui Ba Den (Black Lady Mountain) and take a cable car trip to the top to witness this majestic vista of the former III Corps area. We then travel to Tay Ninh for the noontime service at the unique Cao Dai Temple. After lunch, drive to Cu Chi to explore the manmade tunnels used by the VC during the war, and return to HCMC for dinner. Overnight Rex Hotel Overnight Saigon (B,L)

Day 5  18March (Sun) Mekong Delta:
Day trip to Vinh Long and cruise of the Mekong river and its tributaries and canals. A chance to explore the unique culture of the Mekong Delta, featuring lunch at the “house on stilts”. We return to HCMC for the evening. Overnight Rex Hotel Overnight Saigon (B,L)

Day 6  19March (Mon) Pleiku:
Morning flight to Pleiku. Excursion to Catecka tea plantation, Camp Enari and Dragon Mountain overlooking Ia Drang Valley. Afternoon visit to a minority village for traditional music and entertainment. Overnight Pleiku Hotel, Pleiku (B,L,D)

Day 7  20March (Tue)Qui Nhon:
Today we drive out of the Central Highlands on QL19 through the Mang Yang Pass with a stop at An Khe, site of Camp Radcliff. Continue to Qui Nhon, where we'll have some time to relax at the beach. Overnight Saigon Qui Nhon Hotel, Qui Nhon. (B,L)

Day 8  21March (Wed) Tuy Hoa/Nha Trang:
This morning we head south on QL 1 along one of the most scenic drives in Viet Nam, the coastal road to Nha Trang. After checking into our hotel, free time for the beach and one of the fine seafood restaurants for dinner tonight. Overnight Yasaka Saigon Hotel, Nha Trang (B,L)

Day 9  22March (Thur) Marble Mountain/China Beach/Hoi An :
Transfer to the airport at Cam Ranh for a flight to Danang. Upon arrival, we travel to and ascend Marble Mountain with its pagodas and unique grotto at the top. We'll then travel to Hoi An, with the remainder of the day free for shopping, the beach, or relaxing at the pool. Overnight Ancient House Resort, Hoi An (B,L)

Day 10  23March (Fri) Hoi An:
Toaday at leisure for the beach, shopping or optional touring to the southern I Corps region. Overnight Ancient House Resort. (B)

Day 11  24March (Sat) Hue:
We begin the day with a visit to the Cham Museum in Danang, followed by a drive to Hue via the Hai Van Pass, past Phu Bai with a stop at Camp Eagle. After checking into our hotel, we take an afternoon excursion by bicycle/cyclo to the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Citadel in the Forbidden City. This evening, an optional dinner with traditional music from the imperial court. Overnight Huong Giang Hotel (B,L)

Day 12  25March (Sun) Ashau Valley:
Drive out QL 49, formerly Route 547, to A'luoi in the Ashau. Climb Hill 770 overlooking Hamburger Hill and get a chance to see the the new north-south road paralleling QL1 which traces portions of the Ho Chi Minh trail in the Ashau. Return to Hue. Overnight Huong Giang Hotel, Hue (B,L)

Day 13  26March (Mon) DMZ/Camp Evans/Hue:
Today we take a tour of the former DMZ area including the “Rockpile” and former Marine AO, called “Leatherneck Square”, we continue on to the Ben Hai River Bridge on the 17th Parallel, the former dividing line between North and South Viet Nam. We return to Hue, passing Rte 555, the former “street without joy” and make a brief stop at Camp Evans once home of the 1st Cavalry and 101st Airborne Divisions. Overnight Huong Giang Hotel (B,L)

Day 14  27March (Tue) Hanoi:
Morning flight to Hanoi. After checking into our hotel, we begin a city tour including the former “Hanoi Hilton” and the Military Museum, with lunch at the unique Cha Ca La Vol. This evening we attend a performance of Hanoi’s unique water puppets. Day 15  28March (Wed) Ha Long Bay:
Today we have an early departure by vehicle for Ha Long Bay for a day cruise among the 2000 (+) limestone islands of this UNESCO World Heritage site, with lunch served on our private boat. We return to Hanoi this evening, with dinner on your own tonight. Overnight Army Hotel (B,L)

Day 16  29 March (Fri) Hanoi:
Hanoi with a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his house and museum. We visit the Ethnology Museum followed by some shopping in the Old Quarter with its “36 streets of 36 wares”. Overnight Army Hotel (B,L)

Day 17  30 March (Sat) Departure:
Transfer to airport for departure for home. Ask us about our special extention to Cambodia or other Southeast Asia destinations. (B)
